ILRI would like to announce the availability of a series of online journals to support staff research activities.
The new subscriptions services include over 2,000 Elsevier online journals and others available through CGIAR libraries and the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP). The CGIAR libraries subscription includes publishers such as Springer, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Science and CAB Abstracts, while the INASP subscription covers journals from publishers such as Wiley, Nature, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Emerald, and EBSCO, among others.
Access
All the materials can be accessed on the ILRI Nairobi and Addis Ababa campuses.
For the INASP-subscription, ILRI staff based in developing countries (see list) can access journals via IP addresses authentication at their workplaces. All ILRI staff can also access the CGIAR libraries subscription journals at their workplaces through the same method.
For the Elsevier subscription, staff not based at the Nairobi and Addis campuses, should contact Wilson Maina (w.maina@cgiar.org) who will ensure they receive an Elsevier issued username and password to access these journals regardless of their location.
